Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua Joins President William Ruto in Development Tour of Tharaka Nithi County

Newscyber.id l Tharaka Nithi County, 29 July 2024 - Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua today joined President William Ruto in a comprehensive tour of various development projects in Tharaka Nithi County. This visit underscores the government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and services across the region.

President Ruto launched, opened, and commissioned a range of government projects aimed at improving the quality of life for the residents of Tharaka Nithi. Key initiatives included the Last Mile Electricity Connectivity project in Marimanti, which aims to provide electricity to the most remote and underserved areas of the county. 

Additionally, the President inspected the newly constructed Maternal and Newborn Ward in Chuka, a critical facility expected to significantly enhance healthcare services for mothers and infants in the area. This ward is part of the government's broader efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates and improve overall healthcare outcomes.

President Ruto also officially opened several Huduma Centres across the county. These centres are designed to streamline the provision of government services, making it easier for residents to access essential services such as ID registration, business permits, and social services.
